The P1981FK decorative support bracket is a specialized architectural detail designed to bring visual harmony to ceiling beam systems and rustic ceiling designs. Combining the warmth of traditional woodwork with the lightweight advantage of modern materials, this model creates an aesthetic load-bearing illusion at ceiling transitions and beam intersections. It offers a practical solution for architects and homeowners looking to bring an authentic feel to spaces without the heavy weight and maintenance hassles of natural wood.
Measuring 155 mm in width, 155 mm in depth, and 215 mm in height, the product features ideal proportions for mid-sized projects and standard beam widths. Manufactured from high-density (150-220 kg/m³) rigid polyurethane, this corbel offers a surface hardness comparable to wood while remaining remarkably lightweight. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, allowing it to retain its shape over time in humid environments, wet areas, or outdoor facades.
Visually, the front surface of the product stands out with its circular growth rings and deep wood grain texture. Realistically mimicking the cross-section of a natural log, this texture combines with a stepped transition design to blend seamlessly into rustic decors. When finished with antiquing techniques, the fibrous surface and aged wood grain gain a rich depth that is virtually indistinguishable from real timber.
This decorative support element can be used indoors as a bracket at the ends of wood-look ceiling rafters, as a fireplace mantel accent, or under rustic wall shelves. Outdoors, it adds depth to facades as a decorative support under eaves, bay windows, and floor moldings. For exterior applications, using UV-resistant paints is essential to protect the material from sunlight damage.
During installation, Polure Polfix adhesive should be applied to the cleaned surface, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. Once the screw holes and joints are filled with suitable putty and sanded, the painting phase begins. The product is shipped factory-primed; however, due to paint manufacturers' warranty policies regarding their own primers, applying an additional primer before the topcoat is optional and left to the user's preference.
Compared to traditional wood alternatives, this product does not harbor insects, crack, or warp over time, and it is far more durable than fragile materials like plaster. With its long-lasting, maintenance-free structure, it offers a budget-friendly and aesthetic alternative for both interior and exterior designs.
