The P1981HK decorative corbel is a structural accent component designed in a natural log form to create seamless finishing details in ceiling beam and rafter applications. Combining the traditional look of timber support brackets with modern material technology, this product is highly preferred for elegantly concealing ceiling-to-wall joints, particularly in rustic and country-style designs.
Featuring compact and balanced nominal dimensions of 100x100x136 mm, this corbel is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³). It offers a surface hardness comparable to real wood without adding unnecessary static load to the building structure. Unlike traditional timber, its moisture-resistant closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below one percent, largely preventing structural issues such as rotting, insect infestation, cracking, and warping.
The visual design showcases a rich relief texture on the top and side surfaces, perfectly replicating the annual rings, natural knots, and deep grain patterns of an authentic wooden log. The organic flow of the grains and the circular ring details on the cross-section create realistic light and shadow play once painted, making it virtually indistinguishable from real wood. This rich texture helps create an authentic atmosphere in country, chalet, and traditional rustic-themed projects.
Highly versatile in application, this decorative bracket can be used at the wall-to-beam intersections of rustic ceilings, as a visual support under wooden fireplace mantels, or as an exterior eave corbel. Thanks to its excellent resistance to water and outdoor conditions, it can be safely installed on exteriors; however, since unpainted polyurethane can yellow under UV rays, it must be protected with UV-resistant paint for outdoor use.
Its lightweight structure ensures a fast and practical installation process. Delivered pre-primed from the factory, the product is ready to be painted with water-based or synthetic paints. During installation, the surface must be clean and dry, and the specialized Polure Polfix adhesive should be used. For a secure and long-lasting hold, mechanical screw fastening is required. Once screw holes and joints are filled with a suitable compound and sanded, the final painting process can begin.
