Decorative Polyurethane Flat Panel Pilaster Column

The P5025WP flat panel polyurethane pilaster column is a semi-recessed architectural element specially designed to add depth and character to wall surfaces. Measuring 240 cm in height, 25 cm in width, and 3.1 cm in depth, it creates the illusion of a dimensional column on any surface. It is ideal for both interior designs and exterior facades to create non-structural decorative vertical lines, divide walls into sections, and bring life to flat, monotonous surfaces.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this pilaster offers a surface hardness comparable to wood while remaining significantly lighter than traditional materials. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below one percent, providing moisture resistance that helps reduce moisture-related deterioration, swelling, or warping. It retains its form within the dimensional stability test range -20 °C / +70 °C, while remaining resistant to expansion or cracking.

The design details feature a clean, flat inner panel frame set against a smooth surface. These minimalist lines offer the versatility to complement a wide range of decor styles, from classic neoclassical to modern minimalist concepts. The factory-applied primer coat ensures excellent adhesion for the final paint layer. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat is optional and at the user's discretion. Polure does not provide a warranty for the paints used.

This versatile model is highly preferred for villa entrance portals, hotel lobbies, partitioning large living room walls, hallway accents, and framing doors and windows. For exterior applications, using UV-resistant paint is strictly required to protect against sunlight. It is a preferred choice in projects because it is lightweight and impact-resistant compared to plaster, and resistant to moisture, unlike wood alternatives.

Thanks to its easy-to-cut and workable structure, the installation process is highly practical. After applying Polure Polfix adhesive to a clean, dry surface, securing the product mechanically with screws is essential for structural safety. Once screw heads and joints are filled with suitable filler and sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper, the process is completed with an optional primer and two coats of topcoat paint. This results in a long-lasting, easily repairable decorative surface.
