Polyurethane Fluted Pilaster Column Shaft

The P5025P polyurethane fluted pilaster column shaft is a flat-profile decorative element designed to bring a neoclassical structure to wall surfaces and accentuate vertical architectural lines. Creating the effect of a half-column embedded in the wall, this special pilaster elevates the visual appeal of buildings in both interior and exterior applications. Lightening the weight of traditional stone and plaster craftsmanship with modern production technology, this product ensures a prestigious look in your architectural projects.

Looking at the technical details, the product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane raw material with a density of 150-220 kg/m³. With dimensions of 31 mm depth, 250 mm width, and 2400 mm height, this shaft profile offers perfect proportions for standard ceiling heights or exterior door frames. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, water absorption is below 1%, largely preventing rotting, swelling, or dimensional deformation over time.

The vertical flutes (grooves) in its design carry the aesthetic heritage of classical Roman and Greek architecture. These parallel vertical lines alter the angle of light refraction, creating deep shadows on the surface and optically making the ceiling of the room appear taller. The P5025P fluted shaft can be combined with a plinth (base) at the bottom and Doric, Ionic, or Corinthian capitals at the top to form a complete pilaster set.

Boasting a wide range of applications, this pilaster model is highly preferred in residential and hotel entrance portals, fireplace surrounds, TV unit accent walls, and spacious living room partitions. On exteriors, it is used to give buildings a monumental character at entrances, vertical spaces between windows, or corner details.

Extremely lightweight compared to plaster or marble alternatives, this product significantly reduces labor time with its ease of installation. During installation, Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive should be applied to the surface, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. While its factory-applied primer makes the surface ready for painting, applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the customer's preference, as paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications made without their own primers. The product can be painted with water-based or synthetic paints; however, UV-resistant paint is mandatory for exterior applications.
