Polyurethane vertical architectural elements offer highly practical solutions for adding vertical movement and structural depth to spaces. The P5020 pilaster column is specifically designed to bring flat wall surfaces to life, accentuate door and window frames, or create a column effect in facade designs. This special design combines the fluted texture of classical architecture with the lightweight and durable benefits of modern manufacturing technology, establishing an aesthetic balance for both interior and exterior applications.

In terms of technical specifications, the product measures 31 mm in depth (thickness), 200 mm in width, and 2400 mm in height. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this pilaster offers a surface hardness comparable to wood, providing high resistance to impacts. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, preventing swelling, rotting, or deformation in damp environments, bathrooms, or harsh outdoor weather. It maintains its dimensional stability within a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, ensuring reliable use for many years.

The symmetrical and sharp-edged vertical flutes on the front surface are crafted to beautifully capture the play of light and shadow. This fluted texture enhances the sense of spaciousness, especially in high-ceilinged spaces, by emphasizing vertical lines. Its smooth surface comes factory-primed in white, providing an ideal base for paint adhesion. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own primers, applying an additional primer before the final coat is optional and left to the customer's preference. The P5020 fluted pilaster adapts to versatile design scenarios. It is highly preferred for decorative framing behind TV units in living rooms, vertical paneling behind headboards in bedrooms, or creating faux columns in hallway and corridor transitions. On exterior facades, it can be placed on both sides of windows to integrate with jamb systems or to create a grand portal effect at building entrances. For outdoor use, the product must be painted with UV-resistant paints to protect it from the damaging effects of sunlight.

Remarkably lightweight compared to heavy plaster or hard-to-work-with wood alternatives, this polyurethane pilaster column stands out for its ease of installation. On a clean and dry surface, the pieces cut at 45-degree angles should be adhered using Polure Polfix adhesive, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. After installation, screw holes and joints can be filled with putty, sanded smooth, and finished with two coats of water-based or synthetic paint in your preferred color.
