Polyurethane Fluted Pilaster Columns for Wall Decoration

The P5015 fluted pilaster column is a premium architectural element designed to add depth and character to flat wall surfaces with its clean vertical lines and distinct geometry. It is perfect for creating vertical framing in wall paneling projects, around doors and windows, or surrounding fireplaces. Thanks to its balanced width and slim profile, this decorative trim adds elegant dimension without protruding excessively into the living space.

The product measures 150 mm in width, 31 mm in depth, and 2400 mm in height. Crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this column shaft offers the durability of hardwood while remaining remarkably lightweight. Include the product weight and fixing loads when assessing the substrate and supporting structure. Assess water and moisture exposure using the product technical data, surface finish and installation details.

The elegant fluted details of the design capture light and shadow beautifully, bringing dynamic texture to any room. The continuous vertical lines create a sophisticated optical illusion that makes ceilings appear taller. It blends seamlessly with wall paneling in neoclassical, modern, or traditional interior designs. To achieve a complete, grand column look, the top and bottom of the shaft can be paired with matching capitals and bases.

Highly versatile, this vertical decorative element is widely used in both interior and exterior projects to enhance architectural character. Indoors, it serves as an elegant vertical divider behind TV units in living rooms, in headboard paneling in bedrooms, or within luxury hotel lobbies and office partitions. On exteriors, it can be combined with window casings or placed on either side of entrance doors to create grand, stately portals. For outdoor applications, finishing with a UV-resistant paint is essential to protect the material from sun exposure.

During installation, apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the cleaned surface and secure the piece mechanically with screws for maximum stability. The product comes with a factory-applied primer, making it ready for painting. However, since paint manufacturers may not guarantee applications done without their own brand's primer, applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the user's discretion. It can be finished with any high-quality water-based or synthetic topcoat paint.
