Polyurethane Pilaster Column Base Model 4x17x30 cm

The polyurethane pilaster column base (code P5015BP) is a decorative architectural element that creates a seamless transition at the floor level while grounding pilaster installations with a strong visual presence.

Measuring 4 cm in depth, 17 cm in width, and 30 cm in height, this product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³) using specialized precision molding technology. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate remains under 1%, ensuring high resistance to moisture, rot, and freeze-thaw cycles. Its structural form and dimensional stability have been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Featuring a smooth factory-applied primer, the base showcases clean, precise lines that complement the pilaster shaft perfectly at the bottom. Designed to harmonize with both classic and modern architectural details, its surface accentuates light and shadow interplay. The pre-primed texture also ensures excellent paint adhesion for both interior and exterior finishes.

It is suitable for both interior spaces and exterior facade cladding when finished with UV-resistant paints. Functioning as a bottom transition piece, it is ideal for building entrance portals, living room wall accents, hotel lobbies, and villa facades. Include the product weight and fixing loads when assessing the substrate and supporting structure.

Installation requires continuous beads of polyurethane (PU) construction adhesive combined with mechanical fixing using screws and wall plugs. Compared to heavy concrete, marble, or plaster alternatives, its ultra-lightweight and shatterproof structure allows for quick installation without placing additional weight on the facade. Joints and screw points can be filled, sanded with 180–220 grit sandpaper, and painted in any desired color.

The factory-applied primer makes the surface paint-ready upon arrival; however, additional primer application remains optional depending on specific paint manufacturer warranty guidelines. Highly durable, impact-resistant, and easily repairable if damaged, it is a reliable choice for architectural design projects.
