Polyurethane Pilaster Column Base Plinth and Pedestal Decor

The P5040BP is a decorative polyurethane pilaster column base plinth designed to provide an aesthetic foundation for vertical wall elements in classical architectural projects. Creating a distinct volume on wall surfaces and seamlessly connecting the column shaft to the ground, this element adds structural strength and architectural integrity to your designs. With its high-durability structure suitable for both interior designs and exterior facades, it stands out as an indispensable decorative element for prestigious projects.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (rigid PU), this plinth offers wood-like durability with a density of 150-220 kg/m³ while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Measuring 65 mm in depth, 450 mm in width, and 745 mm in height, it presents a prominent and majestic stance. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it has low water absorption (below 1%), preventing swelling, cracking, or rotting even under harsh outdoor weather and heavy rain. Unlike fragile plaster alternatives, it eliminates waste and breakage during transport and installation.

The visual design features a recessed rectangular center panel surrounded by stepped, layered molding profiles. This neoclassical design language pairs flawlessly with both flat and fluted pilaster column shafts. The symmetry of its geometric lines brings dynamism to facades through the play of light and shadow, transforming plain walls into monumental statements.

This versatile decorative element serves as the perfect base for wall paneling applications in prestigious spaces such as luxury residential projects, hotel lobbies, restaurants, theaters, and wedding venues. It acts as an excellent foundation for pilaster systems designed to partition walls in spacious salons or to create a rich backdrop behind TV units. On exteriors, it is positioned as a base support for columns flanking entrance doors, window frames, or integrated with floor moldings.

During installation, Polure Polfix adhesive should be applied to the cleaned surface, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. Delivered pre-primed from the factory, the product surface is ready for the final coat of paint. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications made without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before the final finish is entirely at the customer's discretion; Polure assumes no responsibility for paint-related issues. Choosing UV-resistant paints for exterior installations will significantly extend the product's lifespan.
