Designed to add depth to walls, overdoors, and window surrounds in architectural projects, the P2841A decorative pediment is a prime example of classic styling. By adding movement to flat surfaces, this piece instantly brings structural character to any space, creating a balanced focal point in spacious interiors.
Engineered to high technical standards, the product measures 190 mm in depth, 465 mm in width, and 515 mm in height. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), it offers durability comparable to hardwood. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is completely resistant to moisture and water. Unlike plaster moldings, it does not crumble or break, and it is immune to rot, insect infestation, or cracking typically associated with wood.
Visually, the design features a striking top crest combining acanthus leaves and a scallop shell motif. Symmetrical volute scrolls frame a smooth central oval shield, leading down to an elegant bottom terminal, all rendered with sharp precision thanks to advanced molding technology. This prominent relief design beautifully merges historical motifs with modern polyurethane manufacturing quality, maximizing the interplay of light and shadow.
Highly versatile, this model is a popular choice for overdoors, fireplace mantels, or as a crowning piece for large mirror frames in luxury residences, hotel lobbies, and restaurants. With a water absorption rate of less than 1%, it is also ideal for exterior window trim and pediment decorations on villas and waterfront mansions.
The polyurethane surface comes factory-primed to ensure excellent adhesion for the topcoat. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own system primers, applying an additional primer is optional and at the customer's discretion. Polure assumes no liability for issues arising after painting. During installation, Polure Polfix adhesive must be used, supported by mechanical screwing.
- With its generous dimensions and prominent relief details, this decorative pediment is designed to create a strong vertical accent
- Indoors, it serves as a perfect visual crown centered above door frames, at the top of large wall panels (boiserie) in living rooms, or as a majestic header for fireplace mirrors and grand paintings
- Outdoors, it is ideal as a window pediment or lintel accent in classic villa, mansion, and hotel projects
- It can also be paired with column capitals or corbels to design grand entrance portals
- Additionally, its moisture resistance makes it a safe and elegant choice for over-mirror decor in bathrooms and damp environments
- The installation surface must be completely free of dust, dirt, and moisture
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane assembly adhesive to the back of the product
- Once positioned on the mounting line, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to prevent slippage until the adhesive cures
- Screw heads and joints meeting the wall should be filled with an exterior-grade acrylic filler
- Once dry, sand smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After optionally applying an additional coat of primer, finish with two coats of water-based paint for interiors, or UV-resistant paint for exterior applications
- Cleaning the product is exceptionally easy; simply wipe with a soft, damp cloth using chemical-free cleaners
- Due to its polyurethane structure, it is highly impact-resistant and will not flake or peel
- For outdoor applications, the painted surface should be inspected annually and touched up if necessary to extend the paint life and maintain UV protection
