Polure's exclusive collection of Ceiling Medallions and Domes transforms ordinary ceiling surfaces into captivating focal points, adding depth and grandeur to architectural designs. These elements, which enhance all types of living spaces from classic palaces to modern residences, create a central feature in ceiling decoration. Unlike traditional heavy and fragile plasterwork, our high-density rigid polyurethane material offers both lightness and durability. The range extends from smaller models like P291 (302x302 mm) to magnificent large-scale designs such as P7119D117 (1888x1888 mm), ensuring suitability for every ceiling volume.
Spatial Impact and Design Freedom
Our Ceiling Medallion and Dome collection breaks the monotony of a flat ceiling, adding a visual layer to the space. These decorative elements, especially when used as central features for chandeliers and other lighting fixtures, enrich the distribution of light within a room. While polyurethane ceiling medallion models with intricate Baroque or Neoclassical patterns are preferred for classic styles, simpler and more geometric forms stand out in contemporary projects. Dome designs optically increase ceiling height, imparting a sense of spaciousness and airiness to interiors. Thanks to Polure's manufacturing precision, even the most complex motifs retain their clarity, enhancing the perception of luxury in a space. Mid-sized options like P641 and P7119 provide a sophisticated touch without overwhelming the room, even in standard ceiling heights.
Advantages of Superior Polyurethane Material
Polure Ceiling Medallions and Domes are much lighter than their plaster counterparts. This characteristic offers a significant advantage in terms of ease of installation and structural safety, especially for ceiling applications. The risks of plaster products becoming heavy or cracking due to moisture over time are completely eliminated with polyurethane. For instance, even the installation of a large-diameter product like P7119L can be quickly completed with standard adhesives and minimal support, thanks to its lightweight nature. The material's closed-cell structure provides moisture resistance, allowing the products to maintain their form and be used for years, even in humid environments like bathrooms or indoor pools.
Combination and Application Flexibility
Polure Ceiling Medallion and Dome models are in perfect harmony with our brand's other cornices and molding products. Combining a ceiling medallion with surrounding ceiling moldings can transform a space into a ceiling worthy of an art gallery. Interior designers may choose to create a rhythmic and aesthetic arrangement by using multiple classic models like P441 or P672 in areas with expansive ceilings. Decorative dome forms, especially when used in grand entrance halls or above dining tables, emphasize the importance and ambiance of that particular area. The products come pre-primed from the factory, offering users the freedom to apply finishes in any desired color and texture (such as gold leaf, antique finish, matte lacquer, etc.).
Usage Areas
Polure Ceiling Medallion and Dome models are widely used in interior spaces where chandeliers or central lighting fixtures are positioned. They are ideal for creating focal points in living rooms, providing a serene and aesthetic ceiling appearance in bedrooms, or accentuating lighting above dining tables in residential projects. In commercial projects, they are preferred in hotel lobbies, luxury restaurant ceilings, art galleries, and prestigious office spaces to elevate the overall perception of the environment. Domes, especially when used in the high-ceilinged entrance halls of villas, add depth and a magnificent atmosphere to the space. For exterior applications, thanks to the material's high resistance to moisture, they can be safely used as decorative finishing elements under eaves, at door entry portals, or on outdoor column capitals.
Installation
Installation of Polure Ceiling Medallions and Domes is user-friendly and practical. First, the center of the ceiling should be precisely determined, and the chandelier cable outlet aligned with this center. The application surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust for maximum adhesive strength. A high-performance polyurethane adhesive, such as Polure Polifix, should be applied in a thin layer to the contact points on the back surface of the product. The product is then carefully pressed onto the ceiling to secure it; for very large models like P7119D117, it is advisable to provide additional support with a few fine-tipped screws during the adhesive's curing time. Any gaps along the edges should be filled with acrylic caulk and sanded for a smooth transition. Once the adhesive is fully cured, the product can be painted to the desired color using water-based or solvent-based paints that either match or contrast with the ceiling color. Attention to painting steps is crucial for a professional finish.
Care Information
Polure's Ceiling Medallions and Domes are designed for longevity and require minimal maintenance. For surface cleaning, a lightly damp, soft cloth is sufficient; standard cleaning agents free of abrasive chemicals will not harm the product's painted surface. Thanks to the structure of polyurethane material, issues like yellowing or dust accumulation over time do not occur, ensuring the products maintain their aesthetic appeal for many years. If a change in room color is desired, the products can be easily repainted after a light sanding. Although the products are impact-resistant, in the event of any mechanical damage, they can be repaired with acrylic caulk and localized painting to restore their original appearance.
