The P9101 ceiling dome is a premium architectural element designed to bring unparalleled depth, volume, and structural richness to your interior ceiling projects. Breaking the monotony of flat ceiling surfaces, this exquisite design draws the eye upward, establishing a perfect visual balance in spacious areas with its 108 cm diameter and 26.3 cm depth. Especially in high-ceiling spaces, it prevents the ceiling from appearing empty and cold, infusing the environment with a majestic character reminiscent of palace architecture.
Manufactured using state-of-the-art molding technology, this product is crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³). While offering the hardness of wood, this structural form is exceptionally lightweight compared to plaster alternatives, ensuring safe installation without adding static load to suspended ceiling systems. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it does not crack, crumble, yellow from moisture, or attract pests, preserving its original form and smooth surface quality for many years.
Looking at the visual details, the concentric rings at the center of the dome provide a perfectly symmetrical base for classic chandelier installations. Modern sunburst fluting radiating outward from the center maximizes the perception of depth. Elegant floral motifs featuring embossed rose and vine leaves adorn the outer rim, blending geometric precision with organic aesthetics to offer a prime example of neoclassical style.
This luxury ceiling element is ideal for upscale interiors such as hotel lobbies, ballrooms, grand mansion entryways, spacious villa living rooms, prestigious offices, and classic-themed restaurants. Thanks to its generous diameter, it serves as a stunning backing medallion beneath large-scale crystal or cast chandeliers. When paired with cove lighting or spotlights, the shadow play on its floral reliefs becomes even more pronounced and dramatic.
For a secure and long-lasting installation, using Polure Polfix adhesive in combination with mechanical screwing is highly recommended. The product comes pre-primed in white from the factory, making the surface ready for painting. Once joints and screw holes are filled and sanded, it can be painted with any water-based or synthetic interior paint. Its shatterproof nature compared to plaster, combined with easy installation, saves both labor and time on your projects.
- This decorative ceiling dome is designed exclusively for interior ceiling decoration
- Its primary applications include spacious living rooms, luxury villa entryways, hotel lobbies, wedding and ballrooms, historical-themed restaurants, and prestigious executive offices
- It can be positioned at the center of the ceiling as a focal backing element for large chandeliers, or integrated into suspended ceiling systems as a structural module to add depth
- To highlight the rose reliefs on the outer rim, ambient warm LED lighting or spotlights can be used to create a dramatic and aesthetic lighting scheme
- Ensure that the ceiling surface where the dome will be installed is clean, dry, and smooth
- Mark the symmetrical placement of the dome on the ceiling
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the rear edges of the product that contact the ceiling
- Align and press the dome against the ceiling, and always secure it mechanically by screwing into the ceiling framing/joists for safety due to its size
- Fill screw heads and joint seams with acrylic filler
- Once the filler is dry, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- The product comes factory-primed; however, applying an additional coat of primer before painting is optional, depending on the paint manufacturer's warranty requirements
- Finally, apply at least two coats of water-based or synthetic interior paint
- Maintenance of the polyurethane ceiling dome is highly practical
- The surface can be easily cleaned using a feather duster or a slightly damp, soft cloth
- Avoid using abrasive chemicals, thinners, or stiff brushes during cleaning, as they may damage the paint
- Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is resistant to moisture and helps prevent yellowing or mould development
Can the P9101 ceiling dome be used on exterior facades?
No, this product is designed exclusively for interior ceiling decoration projects. It is not suitable for outdoor weather conditions.
How is a chandelier installed with the ceiling dome?
The dome itself is not a structural element designed to bear heavy chandelier loads. During installation, the chandelier hanger must be secured directly to the concrete ceiling or ceiling framing using steel anchors, passing through the hole in the center of the dome.
What are its advantages compared to plaster ceiling medallions?
Plaster medallions are heavy, fragile, and risky to install. In contrast, the polyurethane dome is extremely lightweight, does not overload suspended ceilings, is shatterproof, does not crack during installation, and ensures a clean finish.
Is it mandatory to apply a primer during installation?
Our product is shipped with a special factory-applied primer, making the surface ready for painting. However, since paint brands may not guarantee applications done without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before painting is entirely optional and up to the customer.
Which adhesive should I use for installation?
For a secure and long-lasting bond, Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive must be used during installation. Adhesives like silicone or standard fillers should be avoided, as they may lose their grip over time.
