The P6020 decorative corbel bracket is designed to add depth and dimension to facade and wall transitions in classical architectural projects. Reflecting the elegant lines of traditional stone and wood carving, this exclusive model provides a balanced visual transition in both exterior facades and interior designs. Typically positioned as a console or under-shelf support, this product enhances the sense of depth on any surface, bringing a touch of historical charm to your projects.
Featuring ideal proportions, its technical specifications include a width of 97 mm, a depth of 180 mm, and a height of 270 mm. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this bracket offers a surface hardness comparable to wood while remaining lightweight enough to prevent any extra load on the building structure. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it has low water absorption (below 1%), and is less prone to swelling or rotting. This dimensional stability ensures the product retains its shape in temperature fluctuations ranging from -100 °C / +80 °C.
The visual details feature elegant side volutes (spiral scrolls) and acanthus leaf motifs adorning the body. The embossed pinecone-like pattern at the center beautifully reflects the finest details of classical carving art. The product is shipped from our manufacturing facility pre-primed with a white factory undercoat. While this primer coat enhances topcoat adhesion, applying an additional primer is entirely at the user's discretion due to paint manufacturers' specific warranty conditions.
Offering a wide range of applications, the P6020 is used on exteriors as under-balcony supports, under-eave decorations, and as crowning elements on the upper corners of window jambs. Indoors, it creates aesthetic harmony around fireplaces, under decorative wall shelves, or at the column capital junctions of arched doorways.
Installation is carried out by applying Polure Polfix adhesive to a clean, dry surface; silicone-based adhesives must be avoided during assembly. Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to ensure structural safety. Once the screw holes and joints are filled with putty and sanded, the bracket can be painted with UV-resistant paints for exterior use, or water-based or synthetic paints for interior spaces.
- The P6020 corbel bracket model offers versatile decorative solutions for both building facades and interior spaces
- In exterior designs, it is used above entrance doors, under bay windows, beneath balconies, and along roof eaves to create the appearance of supportive beams
- Indoors, it serves as an excellent visual support element for fireplace mantels, large shelving units, and decorative wooden or marble shelves
- Additionally, when used in symmetrical pairs at wall-to-ceiling junctions in wide hallways or arched corridors, it doubles the sense of depth in the space
- It is highly preferred in hotel lobbies, restaurants, and historical mansion restorations
- The installation surface must be completely free of dust, moisture, and grease
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive in strips to the back of the corbel (silicone adhesives should not be used)
- Once positioned on the wall, the product must be secured with screws at appropriate points to provide mechanical fastening until the adhesive cures
- Fill the screw heads and wall joints with exterior-grade putty
- After the putty dries, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Over the factory-applied primer, you may apply an optional coat of primer, followed by at least two coats of paint to complete the installation
- Thanks to their closed-cell structure, polyurethane corbels are highly resistant to water and moisture
- Interior products can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth; avoid using abrasive chemicals or stiff brushes
- To protect exterior corbels from the damaging effects of sunlight, they must be painted with a UV-resistant exterior paint
- Checking the paint surface once a year and performing local touch-ups when necessary will significantly extend the product's lifespan
Is the P6020 corbel bracket model resistant to outdoor weather conditions?
Yes, the P6020 is made from high-density rigid polyurethane and has low water absorption (below 1%) due to its closed-cell structure. It is highly resistant to harsh weather conditions such as snow, rain, frost, and humidity, and resistant to rot and swelling. However, since it will be exposed to sunlight outdoors, its surface must be painted with a high-quality, UV-resistant exterior paint.
Which adhesive should be used during installation?
For a secure and long-lasting installation, only Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive should be used. Silicone-based adhesives do not provide proper adhesion to polyurethane and must be avoided. Additionally, mechanical fastening with screws alongside the adhesive is mandatory for safety.
Can the product be used directly without painting?
The product comes in white, pre-primed with a protective factory undercoat. However, unpainted polyurethane can yellow over time due to UV exposure from daylight. Therefore, to preserve its aesthetic appearance and ensure longevity, we highly recommend painting the product with at least two coats of water-based, synthetic, or exterior paint after installation.
What are its advantages compared to plaster or wooden corbels?
Compared to plaster alternatives, polyurethane corbels are extremely lightweight and shatterproof, adding no static load to the building. Compared to wooden counterparts, they are resistant to moisture, water, and pests, while helping prevent cracking or warping over time. They offer exceptionally sharp detail definition and are quick and easy to install.
Can the P6020 model carry actual structural loads?
The P6020 polyurethane corbel is designed purely as a decorative ornamentation element. Structurally, it does not serve a load-bearing function like reinforced concrete or steel. However, it can be safely used as a visual support under lightweight decorative shelves or minor eave projections.
