The P6039 decorative corbel bracket is specially designed for those wishing to bring classic architectural details into modern living spaces. Offering a wide range of applications from roof eaves to interior shelf supports, this product adds depth and structural character to buildings. Unlike heavy stone or wood alternatives, it provides aesthetic integrity while placing only a limited load on structures.
Manufactured from high-quality rigid polyurethane raw material, this model features a density of 150-220 kg/m³. This ideal density provides wood-like durability while maintaining its lightweight structure. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, largely preventing rotting, molding, or pest infestation even in humid environments. With dimensions of 107 mm in width, 250 mm in depth, and 400 mm in height, it offers a distinct and well-balanced profile.
The fine details in its design are remarkable. The elegantly curved scroll motif at the top, the fluted grooves on the body, and the central acanthus leaf relief beautifully reflect the classical style. The shell-like fluted finish at the bottom adds an elegant final touch to the design. Unlike fragile plaster or foam materials that lose detail, this product stands out with its smooth and sharp contours.
Standing out with its versatile application areas, this decorative bracket complements architecture on exterior facades around window frame corners, under balconies, and beneath porch eaves. Indoors, it can be used as a decorative accent around fireplaces, under bookshelf ledges, or at ceiling beam intersections. It brings the noble atmosphere of historical palace architecture to any space it is applied.
During installation, Polure Polfix adhesive must be applied to the cleaned surface, followed by mechanical fastening with screws. The factory-applied primer makes the surface ready for painting; however, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own primers, the choice of an additional primer is up to the customer. Water-based or synthetic paints can be preferred for painting. For exterior applications, using UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent yellowing.
- The P6039 corbel bracket model offers a wide range of applications in both interior and exterior projects
- In exterior designs, it is preferred as a decorative support element under porch roofs at building entrances, on the upper corners of wide window and door frames, along floor moldings, or beneath roof eaves
- It adds depth and classical character to villa facades and hotel lobby entrances
- Indoors, it can be placed under wooden or marble shelves above fireplaces, or at the corners of large library shelves in living rooms and hallways to create a load-bearing appearance
- Additionally, it can be used as a transition element where ceiling beams meet the wall, contributing to a rich ceiling decoration
- The installation surface must be dry, clean, and free of dust
- Polure Polfix adhesive is applied to the back of the corbel, which is then positioned on the surface
- For safety and long-term durability, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory
- Screw holes and joints should be filled with high-quality acrylic putty
- Once the putty dries, sand with 180-220 grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth surface
- Although the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for the topcoat, an additional primer application is optional based on the customer's preference, in accordance with paint manufacturers' warranty terms
- Finally, it can be painted with water-based or synthetic paint
- For exterior applications, UV-resistant exterior paint must be used to prevent yellowing
- Since polyurethane material has a closed-cell structure, it is highly resistant to water and moisture, preventing rotting or swelling
- For cleaning, a slightly damp cloth or low-pressure water for exteriors is sufficient
- Abrasive acids, thinners, or harsh chemical cleaners should not be used during cleaning
- For outdoor products, it is recommended to check the paint every few years to preserve its lifespan and refresh it with UV-resistant paint if necessary
Can the P6039 corbel model be used on exterior facades?
Yes, the product is highly resistant to water, moisture, and harsh weather conditions. However, to prevent unpainted polyurethane material from yellowing over time on exteriors, it must be painted with a UV-resistant exterior paint after installation.
Which adhesive should be used during installation?
Only Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive should be used to ensure strong adhesion during installation. Silicones or similar adhesives do not provide effective long-term results. Additionally, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory.
Can the product be used directly without being painted?
The product comes with a factory-applied white primer. However, to ensure aesthetic integrity and outdoor UV protection, applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint is recommended. An additional primer application is optional, depending on the warranty terms of the paint brand.
What are its advantages compared to plaster or wooden corbels?
Compared to plaster, it is extremely lightweight, easy to install, and impact-resistant. Compared to wood, it is highly resistant to moisture and water, reducing cracking, rotting, or pest infestation over time. It is also much harder and offers higher detail quality than EPS foam products.
Is the P6039 model suitable for carrying heavy loads?
With its rigid structure and a density of 150-220 kg/m³, it is physically highly durable. However, in architectural projects, this product is primarily designed as a decorative visual support element (corbel). It is not intended to function as a static, heavy load-bearing column or beam.
