Corbels, which define the aesthetic depth and character of structures, are redefined for modern spaces with Polure's superior production quality. This collection, specially designed for interior designers, architects, and homeowners who value aesthetics, combines historical texture with contemporary durability. As elegant supportive and decorative elements of traditional architecture, corbels have a rich history extending from ancient times to the present day. Polure transforms these classic elements into a lightweight, long-lasting, and easily applicable structure by using high-density rigid polyurethane raw material.
Superior Material and Architectural Aesthetics
Considering the weight, installation difficulty, and maintenance requirements of traditional plaster, wood, or marble corbels, Polure's solution is revolutionary. The density of our material, approximately 150-220 kg/m³, provides superior resistance to impacts while guaranteeing its form retention for decades. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is resistant to water, moisture, and UV rays. This feature allows our products to be safely used both indoors and in challenging conditions such as exterior facades.
Each model reflects Polure's attention to detail. Our wide product range, from minimalist lines to magnificent Baroque motifs, meets the needs of every project. For example, compact models like P6002 (46x80x124 mm) provide a delicate finish in ceiling corners or under furniture; while larger, more assertive designs such as P6011 (217x256x433 mm) or P6013 (216x201x466 mm) offer a prestigious presence under the eaves of high-ceilinged mansions or in wide archways. Thanks to the detail clarity offered by polyurethane material, even the finest carvings and curves emerge with striking sharpness.
Design Versatility and Application Flexibility
Our production process combines precise CNC machining and special molding techniques, ensuring that each product reaches users with millimeter accuracy and a smooth surface. This minimizes post-installation surface preparation and creates an ideal base for painting. Models like P6003 (75x95x155 mm) and P6006 (80x116x205 mm) bring classic acanthus leaf motifs to modern spaces, creating an elegant contrast; while designs with more upright lines such as P6007 (69x140x206 mm) and P6009 (120x158x240 mm) emphasize the powerful expression of neoclassical style. P6009, in particular, offers a sophisticated touch in over-door crownings.
Models with larger surface areas, such as P6016 (130x122x265 mm) and P6018 (155x205x301 mm), are ideal for creating a strong focal point above wall niches or around fireplace surrounds. All our products are delivered from the factory pre-primed in white. This allows them to be easily painted with water-based acrylic or synthetic paints to match your project's color palette. The possibility of personalization with gold leaf, antique finishes, or plain lacquer applications fulfills every designer's dream. Medium-to-large sized products like P6020 (97x180x270 mm) are important details that complete architectural integrity around door portals and window frames.
An Investment That Adds Value to Your Space
When positioning corbels in your space, scaling is vital. In rooms with low ceilings, more minimalist models like P6002 add elegance without overwhelming the space, while in high-ceilinged and voluminous areas, imposing models like P6011 fill the sense of emptiness, making the space appear more grand and designed. Polure's high-quality decorative elements are more than just ornamentation; they are lasting investments that enhance the value and character of your property. These solutions, which combine the aesthetics of architectural heritage with today's technology, bestow timeless prestige upon spaces.
Usage Areas
Polure Corbels offer extensive application flexibility, adding value to every project from interiors to exterior facades. Indoors, they create a sense of structural support and depth, especially when mounted under decorative beams at ceiling and wall junctions. In kitchens, they can be used as elegant decorative support elements at the finishing points of upper cabinets or around range hoods. In living rooms, a classic atmosphere can be created by integrating them under fireplace mantels or into large library panels. Models like P6016, used in the upper corners of door and window frames, offer a prestigious welcome upon entering the space. In hotel lobbies, villa entrances, or the restoration of historic buildings, these decorative console products are key elements that enrich the overall ambiance of the space. On exterior facades, they provide architectural integrity and grandeur when placed as beam corbels under window sills, beneath balcony projections, or under eaves. Additionally, they are preferred in porch supports or as decorative details on garden walls, bringing the aesthetic of wood-look corbels to outdoor spaces. Thanks to these versatile application areas, Polure Corbels have become an indispensable part of architectural projects.
Installation
Installing Polure Corbels is a simple and quick process when the correct steps are followed. Depending on the size of your project, you can consult a professional or apply them with a 'do-it-yourself' approach. First, ensure that the surface where the corbel will be applied (wall or ceiling) is completely free of dust, moisture, and grease. Then, carefully mark the area where the product will be placed. In the second step, apply Polifix, a special polyurethane adhesive with high bonding strength, evenly to the back surface of the corbel. Be careful not to let the adhesive overflow the edges. Press the corbel firmly onto the marked area to secure it. Especially for larger and heavier models like P6013, you can temporarily support the product with small-headed nails or painter's tape until the adhesive is fully cured. Finally, use Polure acrylic filler to caulk the joints or any gaps between the corbel and the wall. Once the filler dries, achieve a smooth surface with fine sandpaper. With these simple steps, you can easily add an aesthetic touch to your space.
Care Information
Polure Corbel products not only add aesthetic value to your architectural project but also stand out with minimal maintenance requirements. Thanks to their high-density and closed-cell structure, dust and dirt are prevented from penetrating the product, making cleaning extremely practical. For routine cleaning, wiping with a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. To avoid damaging the surface, refrain from using harsh chemical solvents or abrasive detergents; mild soapy water is ideal for removing most stains. Our material does not yellow, crack, or lose its shape over time; therefore, with proper installation and paint application, it offers long-lasting performance. For corbels used on exterior facades, an annual visual inspection to take precautions against possible external factors will help maintain the product's aesthetics and durability for many years.
