Decorative Motif

A decorative motif is a relief polyurethane ornamental pattern added to a surface. It is used around ceiling roses, on wall panels, at cornice corners and on furniture surfaces to add ornamentation at specific points. The polyurethane motif is lightweight and is applied directly to the surface with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being light and impact-resistant compared to a plaster or wood equivalent, it is easy to apply. Because it is mould-produced, the motif details repeat identically on every piece.
