Column Cladding

Column cladding is the process of dressing the surface of an existing column with polyurethane elements to give it a decorative look. Applied over plain concrete, steel or plaster columns, it produces classical fluted, cannelured or plain surfaces. The polyurethane cladding parts are lightweight and are applied directly to the column surface with installation adhesive; they resist moisture and impact, do not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being light makes installation easier on tall columns and requires less labour and drying time than plaster render. Since it is mould-produced, the flute and texture details are identical on every piece. Polure manufactures column cladding elements in a range of diameters and surface patterns.
