The P8052 decorative square applique is a premium ornamental element that seamlessly blends classical architectural details with modern material technology. Measuring 162x162 mm with a thickness of 20 mm, this perfectly proportioned piece serves as an elegant accent across various surfaces, from wall panels to ceiling corners. It offers a superior alternative to fragile traditional plaster moldings and moisture-sensitive wood carvings.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this product provides a wood-like hardness without adding unnecessary weight to the structure. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is under 1%, offering complete protection against moisture, humidity, and decay. The factory-applied primer ensures excellent paint adhesion. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee performance without their own proprietary primers, applying an additional primer coat before the final finish is optional and entirely at the customer's discretion.
The visual design of the P8052 model features acanthus leaves symmetrically radiating from a central circular seed motif. Stylized heart-shaped petals extending in four cardinal directions harmonize beautifully with the square frame. Thanks to high-precision molding techniques, every curve and depth on the motif is exceptionally sharp and smooth, allowing light and shadow to play across the surface with stunning definition.
Highly versatile in application, this decorative motif can be used as a corner accent in interior wall paneling (boiserie) projects, an embossed detail on furniture doors, or a complementary element around ceiling medallions. When properly installed and coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint, it also provides long-lasting elegance on building facades, window surrounds, and cornices.
For installation, the motif should be secured to the surface using Polure Polfix adhesive and mechanically reinforced with screws. Once the screw heads and joints are filled and sanded, a seamless, smooth finish is achieved. Polure strongly advises against using silicone-based adhesives for installation.
- The P8052 decorative motif, with its square shape and balanced relief structure, is a highly versatile accent
- In interior design, it is frequently preferred as a corner ornament in wall molding (boiserie) projects in living rooms and hallways, or as a central motif for wall panels
- It creates an elegant focal point on headboard panels in bedrooms or within TV unit niches
- In the furniture industry, it serves as an excellent alternative to hand-carved wood on classic cabinet doors, dresser drawers, and the crowns of decorative wooden fireplace mantels
- Thanks to its complete resistance to water and moisture, it can be safely used on bathroom and kitchen cabinets, as well as in indoor pool areas
- For exterior designs, when painted with UV-resistant exterior paint, it adds a prestigious look to buildings on window pediments, arch keystones, or at the intersections of horizontal cornices
- Ensure the application surface is flat, dry, and free of dust
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive evenly to the back of the P8052 motif
- Press the product firmly onto the designated area to ensure proper adhesion
- For a permanent and secure installation, mechanical fastening with fine-threaded screws is required
- Fill the screw holes and joints with a high-quality acrylic filler
- Once the filler is completely dry, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Although the factory-applied primer supports paint adhesion, applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the user's preference in line with paint manufacturers' warranty terms
- Complete the installation by applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Thanks to the closed-cell structure of the polyurethane material, the product does not absorb water, swell, or lose its shape in humid environments
- Avoid using abrasive chemicals, acidic solvents, or stiff brushes for cleaning; a damp, soft cloth or mild soapy water is perfectly sufficient
- For exterior applications, periodically checking the paint coat is recommended to extend its lifespan
- Any scratches or minor damages from hard impacts can be easily repaired with filler, sanding, and localized touch-up painting
