The decorative architectural profile SKU P14D25D120VI50 is a rigid polyurethane round arch model designed to create refined circular and curved transitions at ceiling and wall intersections. Its smooth curved form softens sharp architectural angles, introducing a balanced and distinguished aesthetic to any room.
Molded from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this trim measures 760x760 mm (76x76 cm) overall, with a depth of 60 mm and a profile width of 160 mm. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, water absorption remains below 1%. This renders the profile moisture-resistant and helps maintain long-term dimensional stability while helping minimize swelling, warping, or distortion.
Featuring clean profiled layers, this round arch seamlessly blends crisp architectural lines with a smooth surface finish. The stepped contours create subtle light and shadow play, adding visual depth to wall and ceiling surfaces. Precision mold casting guarantees consistent profile details and smooth curvature across the entire piece.
For interior spaces, it serves as an ideal solution for curved ceiling transitions, decorative arch accents over doors and windows, recessed wall niche frames, and hallway archways. For exterior applications, when finished with UV-resistant coatings, it can be safely used for window and door arch surrounds or exterior architectural details.
Significantly lighter than traditional plaster or cast concrete alternatives, this material installs easily while placing only a limited load on walls or ceilings. Installation requires polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mechanical screw fixings. With dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, it retains its integrity in all climate conditions.
Delivered with a factory-applied primer, the surface is ready for topcoat painting using water-based or synthetic paints. Durable and precisely engineered, it adds lasting architectural value to residential and commercial projects.
- Round arch trim profiles offer versatile application options for both interior design and exterior architecture
- Indoors, they are ideal for creating smooth curved ceiling transitions in living rooms and entryways, forming decorative arch frames above doors and windows, or accenting recessed wall niches
- They serve as striking architectural focal points in hotel lobbies, restaurants, classic residential interiors, and luxury villas
- For exterior facades, when painted with suitable UV-resistant exterior paint, they function as long-lasting curved window and door surrounds, architectural vault transitions, and facade accents
- Ensure the target wall or ceiling surface is clean, dry, and free of dust
- Position and align the arch trim, then apply polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive to the back surface
- Mechanical anchoring using wall plugs and screws is required for secure installation (do not use silicone adhesives)
- Fill joint lines and screw heads with polyurethane-compatible spackle, and sand smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper once fully dry
- The product arrives factory-primed; however, an additional primer coat may be applied based on paint manufacturer recommendations
- Finish with at least two coats of high-quality water-based or synthetic paint
- Thanks to its non-porous closed-cell structure, polyurethane arch trim is naturally moisture-resistant
- Routine cleaning is simple using a soft, damp microfiber cloth
- To protect the surface coating and paint finish, avoid harsh chemical solvents such as thinners, acetone, or bleach, as well as abrasive scrubbing pads
- For exterior installations, occasional rinsing with water is sufficient to remove accumulated surface dust
Is the round decorative arch trim suitable for exterior use?
Yes. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane, the arch trim features a water absorption rate of under 1%, making it moisture and weather resistant. When finished with a suitable UV-resistant exterior paint, it withstands sunlight, frost, and outdoor weather conditions without losing its shape.
Which adhesive and mounting method should be used for installation?
Always use a polyurethane (PU) structural assembly adhesive and avoid silicone-based products. Mechanical screw fixing is required to ensure long-term stability and security. Screw heads and joints should be filled with compatible putty and sanded flush before painting.
Is the product paint-ready, or is an extra primer required?
The product is supplied with a factory-applied primer and is ready for painting. While direct topcoat application is possible, applying an extra system primer is optional and depends on specific paint manufacturer warranty guidelines. It can be painted with either water-based or synthetic paints.
What are the advantages of polyurethane arch trim over plaster arches?
Polyurethane arches are significantly lighter than traditional plaster, highly impact-resistant, and easy to install without structural risk. Because they have very low moisture absorption, they will resist cracking, crumbling and warping over time. Additionally, precision mold casting delivers sharper profile details and smoother architectural lines.
What are the dimensions and structural characteristics of model P14D25D120VI50?
This model measures 76x76 cm in overall outer dimensions, with a depth of 60 mm and a profile width of 160 mm. Produced with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, it offers structural rigidity similar to hardwood while remaining resistant to rot and moisture-related deterioration.
