This attic bedroom, where sunlight filters in generously, offers a charming atmosphere where rustic textures blend with modern minimalism. The industrial coolness of white brick walls is perfectly balanced with dense wood-look details on the ceiling. The fundamental element defining the architectural character of the space is the structural lines integrated with skylights, adding depth to the room. The reflection of natural light on furniture and floors triggers a play of textures in every corner, creating a warm and inviting living space.

Polyurethane beam systems (P1981 series) located on the ceiling and wall transitions form the aesthetic backbone of the space. The wide range of products from P1981A to P1981L, featuring different sections and dimensions, is designed in a modular structure to adapt perfectly to the roof slope. These decorative profiles provide the feeling of a century-old mansion without the weight and installation difficulties of real wood. Thanks to the high-density polyurethane structure, these beams are unaffected by temperature changes that may occur around skylights over time, preventing cracking or warping.

The polyurethane precast production technique used in the application ensures that each beam joins with millimetric precision, offering a flawless finish. Due to their lightweight advantage, they can be quickly installed using standard adhesives and hidden screw methods without placing a static load on the building. The natural wood fiber texture on the surface gives the feeling of being completely hand-painted, far from a fabricated look. These technical advantages grant architects unlimited design freedom, especially in attic projects where ceiling height and angles are critical.

When designing such a bedroom, you can use polyurethane beams to create vertical lines on the headboard panel as well as on the ceiling. Keeping the herringbone floor pattern parallel to the direction of the ceiling beams will make the room appear wider than it is. The contrast between the organic forms of plants and the geometric sharpness of polyurethane products increases the dynamism of the room. For a similar look, you can evaluate beam combinations with Polure’s specially textured wall panels to provide both thermal insulation and enhance visual richness.

Design Details

The strongest design choice is highlighting the roof angle with polyurethane beams rather than hiding it. The overhead light source emphasizes the beam texture while expanding vertical volume. The contrast between white brick and natural wood tones forms the basis of 'modern rustic' style, while different wood patterns on floors and walls create a visual hierarchy.
