This spacious living room, where natural light filters through large windows to meet rich wood textures, demonstrates how rustic architecture is perfected with Polure polyurethane technology. The high-density textured beams used on the ceiling combine a warm cabin atmosphere with modern comfort. By utilizing the advantage of ceiling height, a grid system was designed to define the room on both vertical and horizontal planes, significantly strengthening the perception of depth. The color palette dominated by earth tones integrates with the natural oak and walnut appearance of the polyurethane elements to offer a peaceful living space.
The main character of the ceiling is formed by polyurethane beams, supported by finely crafted profiles around the decorative fireplace including P1981A, P1981B, P1981C, P1981D, P1981E, P1981F, P1981G, P1981H, P1981I, P1981J, P1981K, and P1981L. Detailed carvings and column capitals on the fireplace reflect classic hand-craftsmanship quality thanks to the precision casting advantage of polyurethane. The layered structure formed by the P1981 series profiles provides architectural continuity while adding an air of a historical mansion. Each profile is strategically placed to balance the massive beam structure with aesthetic detail.
All products used in this project are prepared with high-density precast polyurethane production techniques. This material, which is 80% lighter than real wood, minimizes the ceiling load and provides a significant advantage for seismic safety. The beams, produced in a hollow 'U' form, allow for easy concealment of electrical cables and hidden lighting systems. Due to its 100% moisture-resistant structure, problems such as cracking, warping, or insect infestation that can occur in wood over time are never experienced in polyurethane applications, offering a lifetime guarantee of use.
If you want to create a similar rustic texture in your home, you can use polyurethane beams not only on the ceiling but also to create a 'framework' effect on the walls. Especially in high-ceilinged spaces, polyurethane ceiling medallions or wall moldings placed between the beams will increase the focal point. The layered profile sets used around the fireplace (P1981 series) can also be applied behind TV units or in wide door transitions to achieve a holistic language in decoration. Dark wood-toned polyurethanes that contrast with light-colored wall paints instantly elevate the luxury perception of the room.
The use of light creates a dramatic depth thanks to the rhythmic shadows formed by the ceiling beams. The massive appearance on the ceiling creates a parallel axis with the wide wood parquets on the floor, carrying the perspective to the extreme. The material contrast between the polyurethane fireplace surround and ceiling elements is balanced by the soft texture of textiles. Proportionally, the large beams filled the wide hall volume, preventing the space from feeling bare and increasing acoustic comfort.
