Soft daylight filtering through large windows softens the gray and earth tones in the space, while double-sided stone-clad fireplaces balance the focal point of the room. The geometric woodwork used in the floor design creates a vertical dialogue with the intricate coffered structure of the ceiling, making the room's volume more defined.
The polyurethane beam system applied to the ceiling adds both depth and the atmosphere of a historic manor to the space. Profiles in different sizes and textures from the (P1981A, P1981B, P1981C, P1981D, P1981E, P1981F, P1981G, P1981H, P1981I, P1981J, P1981K, P1981L) series were preferred for the main carrier forms and partitions in the design. Thanks to their high-density PU structure, these modular pieces reflect the antique wood texture exactly without the weight and cracking risk of real solid wood.
The applied polyurethane precast technique ensured flawless connection points and symmetry in such a large ceiling area. These beams, produced with precise molds in a factory environment, can be easily integrated into all ceiling types, old or new, as they do not create a structural load during the assembly phase. Decorative rosettes and fasteners used at the junctions of the beams reinforce the rustic look with the detail sharpness offered by CNC technology.
In such large-volume halls, the color of the beams can be chosen one or two tones darker than the wall tones so that the ceiling does not look too flat. In lighting choice, modern chandeliers consisting of glass spheres, as in the image, will create a sophisticated contrast by breaking the hard lines of the ceiling. If your space is smaller, you can get a simpler but still characterful rustic touch by using only the main carrier beams.
Design Details
The coffered ceiling system used in the space improves the acoustics of the area without optically pulling the ceiling height down. The monochromatic harmony between the gray-toned oak texture, stone fireplace, and textiles prevents visual fatigue. Light increases material depth by creating shadow plays on the brushed texture of the beams. The diagonal geometric lines on the floor and ceiling divide the large area into parts, creating an intimate seating arrangement. Round lines in the furniture establish a successful balance with the sharp right angles in the architecture.
