Faux Wood Polyurethane Carriage Wheel Medallion for Rustic Ceilings
Lightweight polyurethane ceiling rosette with an authentic faux wood carriage wheel design. Perfectly complements faux wood beams to create a cohesive rustic interior without weighing down your ceiling.
P1923 is a decorative panel and beam cladding element manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane, eliminating the weight and maintenance challenges of traditional wood. Designed to bring natural warmth to any space, this product offers an excellent alternative as a faux beam on ceilings or a rustic cladding plank on walls. Thanks to its lightweight structure, it allows for safe decoration without adding to the static load of buildings.
The product features a thickness of 30 mm, a length of 3000 mm, and a width of 230 mm. With a density of 150-200 kg/m³, it provides a surface hardness comparable to real wood while remaining highly impact-resistant. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, ensuring complete resistance to moisture, mold, rot, and insect infestation. Compared to wood, MDF, or EPS foam alternatives, it offers exceptional dimensional stability, meaning it will not shrink or warp under temperature fluctuations.
The visual design stands out with prominent wood grains, natural knot details, and a rustic, textured surface. Thanks to high-precision molding technology, the authentic texture of real wood is perfectly replicated. The product is shipped in white, pre-primed with a protective factory undercoat. While the factory primer prepares the surface for the topcoat, paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own priming systems; therefore, applying an additional primer is optional and left to the customer's discretion. Polure does not provide a warranty for the paints applied.
The P1923 model can be safely used both indoors and, with appropriate paint applications, on exterior facades. Since unpainted polyurethane can yellow under sunlight, using UV-resistant paint is mandatory for outdoor installations. Installation is highly practical; after securing the product to the surface using Polure Polfix adhesive and screws, the joints can be puttied and sanded to achieve a seamless, continuous look.
- Thanks to its versatile design, the P1923 decorative panel is widely used on both interior ceilings and walls, as well as exterior facades
- It is ideal for creating a rustic ceiling beam or rafter look in living rooms, entryways, and bedrooms
- It can be positioned horizontally as wood-look panels for fireplace backdrops, TV unit backgrounds, or hallways
- It is frequently preferred to add depth to ceilings in hotel lobbies, restaurants, cafes, and chalet-themed commercial spaces
- For exterior designs, it is applied under eaves, above windows, or on floor moldings, coated with UV-resistant paints to achieve an authentic timber frame look
- The installation surface must be smooth, dry, and free of dust
- The product is cut to fit the application area, and 45-degree miter cuts are made for corner joints
- Apply only Polure Polfix adhesive to the back of the panel to bond it to the surface; silicone adhesives should not be used as they do not provide long-term adhesion
- Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory for a secure installation
- Screw holes and joints are filled with a polyurethane-compatible putty
- Once the putty dries, the surface is smoothed using 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After optionally applying an additional primer over the factory undercoat, it is painted with two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Using UV-filtered paint is mandatory for outdoor applications
- Thanks to its rigid polyurethane structure, the P1923 requires extremely low maintenance
- Dust and dirt on the surface can be easily cleaned using a soft, slightly damp cloth
- High-pressure water, acidic cleaners, or abrasive chemicals that could damage the surface texture must never be used during cleaning
- For exterior applications, checking the painted surface once a year and touching up the paint as needed to minimize the effects of sunlight and weather conditions will significantly extend the product's lifespan
