Polyurethane light fixture housings are architectural elements that allow lighting fixtures to be recessed seamlessly into ceiling surfaces, ensuring uniform light distribution throughout the space. In commercial environments and prestigious interior designs, eliminating harsh surface-mounted edges is critical to preserving the aesthetic integrity of the ceiling plane. Specially contoured circular recessed polyurethane profiles prevent direct glare from spotlights, creating a visually comfortable atmosphere.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane, these profiles feature a density of 180-200 kg/m³, providing superior resistance to impact and deformation. With a water absorption rate under 1%, the material remains unaffected by indoor humidity fluctuations, preventing joint cracking over time. Furthermore, its wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C perfectly preserves its structural integrity against localized heat generated by LED and spotlight fixtures. The combination of PA501 and PA502 recessed fixture profiles with the P81376 ceiling moulding integrates smoothly into the ceiling surface to deliver a seamless finish.
During installation, the polyurethane elements are fixed into pre-cut openings in the drywall ceiling framework using specialized adhesives. After filling the joint lines with polyurethane putty, the surface is sanded smooth and painted with water-based paint matching the ceiling tone. This turns the lighting fixture into an organic component of the ceiling architecture. To direct focus toward displayed items in retail stores, hotel lobbies, and galleries, perimeter mouldings supplied in standard 240 cm lengths clearly define the ceiling boundaries.
Polyurethane ceiling solutions complement the architectural design language in luxury store concepts dominated by wooden display counters, travertine flooring, and metallic details. By properly managing light refraction angles, recessed fixture housings add a sense of spaciousness without lowering the effective vertical volume. Featuring durable construction and easily paintable surface quality, these ceiling elements from the Polure collection elevate ceiling design standards in professional projects.
Instead of standard surface-mounted spotlights, polyurethane fixture housings seamlessly integrated into the ceiling surface were chosen for this design. The PA501 and PA502 circular recessed profiles set the light source above the ceiling plane, delivering glare-free visual comfort. The P81376 ceiling moulding defines the outer contours, giving the space an architectural frame. The material synergy between the wooden counters, warm-toned wall cladding, and travertine flooring is enhanced by the smooth transitions of the light fixtures. Thanks to the 180-200 kg/m³ density polyurethane structure, the risk of heat-induced deformation during long-term LED operation is eliminated.
