Polyurethane Crown Molding Profiles

Polyurethane crown molding profiles create a clean, aesthetic transition between walls and ceilings while concealing wiring and covering joint imperfections in residential and commercial spaces. Engineered with a high density of 150-220 kg/m³ (production target ~160 kg/m³), these moldings offer significantly higher impact resistance than traditional plaster cornices. Featuring a water absorption rate under 1%, they prevent yellowing, swelling, and bacterial growth. They maintain structural integrity across temperatures from -100 °C / +80 °C. Weighing only 250–400 grams per meter, these lightweight profiles install quickly with adhesive, eliminate detachment risks, will not warp due to moisture like wood, and are compatible with all water-based paints.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do polyurethane crown molding profiles differ from plaster cornices?

Polyurethane moldings are lightweight, impact-resistant, completely moisture-proof, easier to install, and will not crack over time unlike plaster.

How do you paint polyurethane ceiling crown molding?

After installation and joint caulking, they can be painted directly with water-based, acrylic, or latex interior ceiling paints without requiring thinner.
