Showcasing how classical architecture seamlessly integrates into modern homes, this living room design crowns the noble stance of dark anthracite and charcoal wall tones with bronze and gold-leafed polyurethane ornaments. At the heart of the design, an electric fireplace insert is framed by the P8403 Polyurethane Fireplace Mantel, turning it into the room's primary focal point. Thanks to the high heat resistance and lightweight structure of polyurethane, this fireplace surround offers both a safe and effortless installation process. The layered panel structure above the fireplace extends to the ceiling, creating a sense of vertical grandeur in the space.
To add depth to the walls, polyurethane molding profiles of various thicknesses are used in harmony. The P85002, P85008, P85016, and P85403 moldings are meticulously positioned across different wall sections to form symmetrical paneling layouts. To ensure smooth, curved transitions at the corners of the rectangular panels, P85008G and P85016D molding corner pieces were preferred. These corner details bring the hand-carved plaster mold aesthetics of classical palace decors into modern spaces with the smooth and durable surface quality of polyurethane.
One of the most prominent features enriching the design is the majestic polyurethane decorative elements placed inside the wall panels. The P2900A crown motif and symmetrically positioned applique ornaments (P80115ML, P80115MR, P80115S, P80115SL, and P80115SR) create a three-dimensional artwork effect on the walls. Thanks to the flexibility of polyurethane, these ornaments offer much sharper details compared to wood or plaster carvings and will not crack or shed over time. The P81071 cornice model used at the top transition softens the junction between the wall and ceiling, completing the overall harmony.
On the floor, the P85050 baseboard model acts as a robust transition element, connecting the vertical movement of the wall panels with the hardwood flooring. Since all polyurethane products manufactured by Polure are highly resistant to impacts and moisture, they promise long-lasting durability in high-traffic living areas. Thanks to their easy-to-paint nature, it is possible to achieve customized, luxurious designs by applying gold and bronze patina painting techniques over an anthracite background, just as in this project.
