The dark wood-look polyurethane beams used in the ceiling structure create a powerful contrast with the white ceiling base, adding architectural depth and character to the room. While natural light from the windows highlights the beige and earthy tones of the textiles, the geometric wall paneling emphasizes the vertical axis of the space, making the ceiling height feel more spacious than it is.
The ceiling beams, the main character of the design, are selected from Polure's high-density product group. On the wall surfaces, a symmetrical arrangement was created using the P1981 series molding and panels (P1981A, P1981B, P1981C, P1981D, P1981E, P1981F, P1981G, P1981H, P1981I, P1981J, P1981K, P1981L). This extensive product range allows for the creation of frames at different scales on the walls, reinforcing the classical identity of the space. The sharp lines of the polyurethane material create flawless shadow plays under sconce lighting.
Thanks to the 'polyuretanprekast' production technique preferred in the application, the heavy wood log appearance on the ceiling was achieved without putting extra load on the building. The advantage of precast casting allows the products to provide millimetric harmony during the assembly phase and makes the joints invisible. The wall moldings produced with CNC precision achieve a perfect harmony with all kinds of water-based paints thanks to their surface smoothness. These techniques, unlike traditional plaster craftsmanship, provide a dust-free and much faster installation process.
For those who want to design such a bedroom, the placement frequency of the ceiling beams should be proportional to the width of the room. In narrow spaces, thinner sectioned beams can be preferred to avoid a suffocating effect. Placing dim sconces inside the wall panels or painting the inside of the moldings in different pastel tones will double the perception of depth. Borders with different finishes in the Polure collection can be considered as an alternative to carry this design to a more avant-garde line.
