Inspired by the finest examples of classical architecture, the P2002B is a wide-profile border molding designed to bring aesthetic harmony to wall and ceiling transitions. Featuring a central scallop shell relief motif flanked by elegant, sweeping leaf patterns, it adds a striking sense of depth to any surface. With its 15 cm height and scalloped bottom edge, it breaks up flat, monotonous wall lines to enhance the architectural character of the space.
Engineered to the highest standards of technical durability, this profile is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³). With a thickness of 65 mm and a length of 2400 mm, it delivers a robust and substantial look along both vertical and horizontal lines. Highly resistant to temperature fluctuations, the product retains its shape and dimensional stability in environments ranging from -20°C to +80°C. Its closed-cell structure ensures a water absorption rate of less than 1%, providing complete protection against moisture, rot, and pests.
The sharp, crisp details of its design are a result of advanced modern molding technology, offering a superior alternative to fragile traditional plaster and moisture-sensitive wood. The product comes pre-primed with a factory-applied undercoat, which prepares the surface for optimal topcoat adhesion. However, since paint manufacturers often do not guarantee applications done without their own primers, applying an additional primer coat before the final paint is entirely optional and at the user's discretion.
Highly versatile, the P2002B is ideal as a dado rail or border line in interior spaces like living rooms, hallways, and lobbies. Thanks to its waterproof properties, it can also be safely installed on exterior facades as a decorative belt course or window header trim. For outdoor applications, using UV-resistant paint is mandatory to protect the material from sunlight degradation.
During installation, 45-degree miter cuts are made on a clean, dry surface to ensure perfect alignment. Only Polure Polfix adhesive must be used for bonding; silicone-based products should be strictly avoided. Mechanical fastening with screws is required for a secure and permanent hold. Once screw heads and joints are filled with joint compound and smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper, the process is completed with an optional primer and two coats of water-based or synthetic paint.
- Thanks to its wide profile and ornate relief details, the P2002B patterned border profile offers versatile applications in both interior decoration and exterior architecture
- Indoors, it can be positioned as a dado rail in living rooms and spacious hallways to divide walls into two different colors or wallpaper patterns
- In hotel lobbies, restaurants, and classically styled offices, it serves as a majestic transition element at the wall-to-ceiling junctions
- Due to its fully waterproof and moisture-resistant structure, it is also frequently preferred on exterior building facades as an aesthetic belt course to highlight floor transitions or as a decorative window pediment
- The application surface must be completely dry and free from dust and dirt
- Profile ends are cut at a 45-degree angle using a miter box
- Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be applied to the bonding channels on the back of the profile; silicone must never be used during installation
- Once the product is positioned on the wall, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory
- Screw holes and joints are filled with flexible joint sealant and smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper after drying
- Over the factory-applied primer, an optional coat of primer may be applied depending on the paint manufacturer's warranty terms, followed by two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Cleaning the polyurethane border is highly practical; dust and stains on the surface can be easily wiped away with a slightly damp cloth
- Harsh chemical cleaners containing thinners, hydrochloric acid, or abrasive particles must not be used during cleaning
- For exterior applications, periodic paint maintenance based on the condition of the paint will extend the lifespan of the material
- In case of damage from heavy impacts, the affected area can be easily repaired by filling it with acrylic putty, sanding it smooth, and touch-up painting locally
