In this interior visual, we witness how a modern structural frame is transformed with traditional rustic touches. The space is built on the contrast between the pure cleanliness of white and the dark oak wood texture. While the wide white surface on the ceiling distributes daylight homogeneously into the room, it sharply reveals the architectural character of the applied structural elements. The rhythmic arrangement of the rafters and the dominance of the main log at the center add depth and a historical layer to the space.
The main log (P1981C) and the supporting side rafters (P1981D, P1981B), which are the focal point of the application, are produced with Polure's high-density polyurethane technology. These products carry all the grain, knot, and crack details of real wood on their surface, yet they are lightweight enough not to impose an additional static load on the structure. Especially the thick log, appearing as the main carrier, increases the visual weight of the design by combining with rope details and creates a masculine warmth in the interior.
Polyurethane beams are produced with the naturalness of handcrafting in standard sizes thanks to the precast casting technique. This technology completely eliminates problems such as warping, cracking, or insect infestation that may occur in wood over time. By using polyurethane adhesives and mechanical fasteners during the assembly phase, the need for heavy steel construction required for a massive wood log to stand on the ceiling is eliminated. The rope suspension system in the visual creates both a technical assembly illusion and brings the design closer to a nautical or mountain house concept.
For users who want to create a similar atmosphere, this design is ideal for high-ceilinged living rooms, restaurant entrances, or loft apartments. Polyurethane log (polyuretankutuk) and rafter (polyuretanmertek) combinations can be painted in different colors according to the size of the space. If a more spacious appearance is desired, it is recommended to paint the beams in light walnut tones and add polyurethane ceiling panels in between.
The linear rafter arrangement used in the design extends the perspective of the ceiling, making the space perceived wider than it is. The high contrast between the dark wood tone and the white ceiling allows the structural elements to gain a statuesque form. The thick ropes used hide the 'light' nature of the material, creating a visual balance and a perception of false load-bearing.
