This outdoor installation from the Çayırova project showcases a modern reinterpretation of Corinthian column components—one of classical architecture's most majestic elements. Natural daylight accentuates the depth of the acanthus leaf motifs and volute scrolls, while the material's matte white finish softens sun reflections to highlight every intricate detail. The striking contrast between the modern building facade and these monumental classical forms demonstrates how polyurethane seamlessly adapts to any architectural style.
At the heart of this project, the massive Corinthian column capital (+P5280+) and matching column bases reflect the design freedom offered by high-density polyurethane. These complex carvings, which would take weeks in traditional stone masonry, are brought to life flawlessly through Polure's precision casting molds. The human figure in the photo highlights the logistical advantage of the material, demonstrating that despite its impressive 80-90 cm width, the monumental capital can be easily handled by a single person.
The 'polyurethane precast' technique used in production minimizes thermal expansion and contraction, eliminating the risk of cracking on exterior walls. Being 80% lighter than traditional plaster or marble alternatives, these pieces add no structural load to the building. During installation, polyurethane-based adhesives and mechanical anchoring ensure a lifetime bond to the facade, providing a major safety advantage, especially for high-rise villa projects.
