Coffered Ceiling Design

Coffered ceiling design is the process of patterning the ceiling by dividing it into square and rectangular sections with polyurethane pieces such as profiles, centrepieces and borders. The number of frames, the depth and the pattern density are determined according to the ceiling height, the size of the space and the decoration style. It is applied to wide ceilings such as living rooms, meeting rooms and entrance halls. The polyurethane pieces are lightweight and are fixed directly to the ceiling with construction adhesive; they resist moisture and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being lighter than a wooden coffered ceiling and unaffected by moisture, it has a wide range of application. Since the mould-cast pieces are of standard size, the pattern in the design repeats regularly. Polure produces profile, centrepiece and border pieces in matching sizes for coffered ceiling design.
