The P85010B decorative moulding corner is designed to elegantly complete frame layouts in wall and ceiling decorations. Bringing classic architectural details into modern spaces, this corner motif ensures seamless transitions in wall paneling applications. It helps walls break away from the ordinary and gain depth in both residential projects and commercial spaces like hotels and restaurants.
Manufactured with a high-density (150-200 kg/m³) rigid polyurethane formula, this product offers wood-like durability while remaining exceptionally lightweight. With its 250x250 mm dimensions and 32 mm thickness, it provides the perfect proportion for medium to large-scale wall panels. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is virtually zero, making it completely resistant to moisture, humidity, and rot. Its temperature-resistant structure ensures it retains its shape for many years.
Looking at its visual design, the acanthus leaf motifs extending outward from the corner and the elegantly curved reliefs immediately catch the eye. Thanks to high-precision molding technology, the deep relief details evoke the feel of hand-carved woodwork, becoming even more pronounced with shadow play once painted. These symmetrical and aesthetic patterns add a classic palace ambiance to any surface while creating a stylish contrast with modern furniture.
Offering a wide range of applications, this corner element provides a functional decorative touch for both interiors and exteriors. It is ideal as a complementary piece in large wall framing combinations in living rooms, headboard paneling in bedrooms, hallway transitions, or ceiling crown moulding designs. While adding depth to wall panels in prestigious venues like restaurants, lobbies, and offices, it can also be used as an aesthetic corner infill around window casings in exterior projects. For outdoor applications, coating it with UV-filtered paint is mandatory to protect against the damaging effects of sunlight.
Featuring an easy and clean installation process, the product is applied by spreading Polure Polfix adhesive onto a clean, dry surface. Mechanical fastening with screws is recommended to increase durability. Once the joints and screw heads are smoothed with fine putty and light sanding, the surface is ready for painting. The factory-applied primer coat prepares the surface for the topcoat; however, applying an additional primer is optional and left to the user's preference based on the paint manufacturer's warranty terms. Unlike plaster, which is heavy and fragile, or wood, which swells when exposed to moisture, this polyurethane material offers long-term, hassle-free use.
- Moulding corners are used to provide aesthetic transitions at the intersection of horizontal and vertical trims in wall and ceiling paneling designs
- In interiors, they create an elegant focal point at corner turns when designing classic frames (boiserie) on living room, dining room, hallway, and bedroom walls
- They offer a sophisticated detail especially in symmetrical framing applications behind bed headboards or wall decorations behind TV units
- On ceilings, they are ideal for creating wide ceiling frames around ceiling medallions or adding movement to the corner turns of crown mouldings
- Thanks to their paintable structure, they can also be used in exterior facade designs as decorative crown complements at the corners of window jamb frames or floor molding joints, provided that suitable exterior paint is used
- The installation surface must be completely free of dust, moisture, and grease
- The moulding corner is aligned with the flat moulding profiles, and its position is marked on the wall
- Polure Polfix adhesive is applied to the back of the product, which is then pressed firmly against the wall
- To prevent slipping and ensure safety while the adhesive cures, mechanical fastening is done using screws
- Screw heads and joints connecting with the moulding are sealed with acrylic joint sealant
- Once the sealant dries, it is smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- Thanks to the factory primer, the surface is ready for the topcoat
- Optionally, after applying an additional coat of primer, the installation is completed by applying at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- Silicone adhesives must absolutely not be used for installation
- Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the polyurethane moulding corner is highly water-resistant and very easy to maintain
- For dusting and general cleaning, using a damp, soft cloth is sufficient
- Abrasive chemicals, acidic cleaners, or stiff brushes that could damage the paint on the surface should not be used during cleaning
- For outdoor applications, rinsing with high-pressure water can be done for seasonal dirt
- Checking the paint condition of exterior products once a year and, if necessary, refreshing it with UV-resistant paint to prevent fading will extend the aesthetic lifespan of the product
