Showcased in a fair stand concept, this design demonstrates how antique forms achieve a perfect harmony with modern lighting technologies. The dominant anthracite gray walls highlight the forms of the white polyurethane elements, while the red carpet on the floor reinforces the prestigious and inviting character of the design. The horizontal beam structure and vertical column alignment, which effectively utilize the ceiling height, evoke both a sense of depth and a monumental scale within the space.
The wide-bodied Ion column capitals (KASUT50A and KASUT50B) used in the application bring the aesthetic weight of classical architecture to the space. The fluted textures preferred for the column bodies (P5850 and P5950B) provide an ideal surface for light play, while the integrated lighting in fractured forms proves the material's excellent workability. P5250I skirting and P5840B border details create sharp, smooth lines at transition points, elevating the craftsmanship to the highest level.
The most important technique highlighted in this project is the precast production method. Polyurethane components cast in high-density molds in a factory environment are assembled with millimetric precision on-site, saving both time and labor. Thanks to custom molds prepared with CNC technology, flawless details are achieved even in the most complex motifs. Its lightweight structure allows these massive-looking columns to be easily mounted on any floor without adding extra structural load.
For modern living room designs or commercial spaces, this concept inspires those who wish to combine traditional and futuristic elements. Especially in large-scale lobbies or high-ceilinged villa lounges, LED strips hidden inside the columns can completely transform the night ambiance. Thanks to the paintable feature of polyurethane profiles, it is possible to create very different atmospheres by personalizing these designs with anthracite, gold leaf, or marble-effect paints.
Design Details
The leakage of light through vertical columns in a fractured form adds dynamism to static architectural elements. The wide diameter of the Ion capitals used in the design visually balances the upper beam load while following the rules of the golden ratio. The achromatic color palette (black and white) emphasizes the purity of form by eliminating distracting elements. The smooth surface finish of the polyurethane material evokes a matte and noble stone texture rather than a plastic shine under artificial light. Spatial depth has been achieved by creating a successful perspective effect with the gradual alignment of the columns.
