This bathroom design presents a dramatic fusion of high-gloss black lacquered surfaces and classic architectural lines. The deep black hue, combined with polyurethane wall moldings and panels that accentuate the vertical lines, brings a sophisticated depth to the space. Rather than making this intimate area feel cramped, the play of light reflecting off the ultra-smooth surfaces creates the exclusive atmosphere of a high-end boutique hotel suite. A striking contrast is achieved through white ceramics and a marble vanity, beautifully balancing the dark color palette and establishing a refined visual anchor.
These vertical rectangular wall panels are brought to life using the durable profiles (P85008) from the Polure collection. The crisp, sharp corner details inherent to polyurethane profiles enhance the flawless finish of the black lacquer, while classical artworks framed within each panel introduce a curated gallery feel. The symmetrical arrangement of the mirror and elegant sconces around the vanity perfectly aligns with the wall paneling, allowing the gold frames to stand out like fine jewelry against the dark backdrop.
Engineered specifically for wet areas, high-density precast polyurethane elements serve as the foundation of this design. Unlike wood, which is prone to swelling, or plaster, which easily cracks, these moisture-resistant PU profiles are cut with CNC precision for seamless installation. The water-repellent nature of the material ensures that the paint finish remains pristine even in high-humidity environments. This technical edge grants designers the creative freedom to implement bold, dark-toned, heavily paneled layouts with lacquer finishes in challenging spaces.
To recreate this luxurious aesthetic, pairing the walls with black-and-white veined marble or geometric ceramic flooring complements the vertical lines of the paneling. Opting for an open-frame vanity with chrome legs preserves the visual flow of the patterned floor. Finally, incorporating crystal or glass wall sconces will beautifully catch the light, highlighting the rich texture of the black wall panels (P85008) and elevating the overall sense of opulence.
The intensive use of black, paired with high-gloss finishes, maximizes spatial depth by reflecting light rather than absorbing it. Placing gold-leafed artworks against the dark backdrop creates a dramatic 'chiaroscuro' effect, enhancing the visual hierarchy of the bathroom. The P85008 molding profiles break up the wall surfaces to eliminate monotony and establish a structural rhythm, while the textural contrast between the floor and walls is softened by the clean, balancing presence of white accents.
