Carved Polyurethane

Carved polyurethane is the general name for polyurethane decoration products with relief motifs worked into their surface by carving. It covers carved-surface pieces across different product groups such as door surrounds, cornices, panels, consoles and motifs; it is used to decorate walls, ceilings and furniture. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with construction adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Unlike wood carving it is unaffected by moisture or insects, and unlike plaster it is not brittle. Because it is mould-cast, the carved details repeat exactly the same on every piece.
