Ionic Column Capital

The ionic column capital is a polyurethane capital element placed at the top of ionic columns, recognised by the volute ornaments curling on either side. It is placed on top of column and pilaster shafts to form the capital section; it is used on decorative columns indoors and outdoors. Polyurethane is lightweight; it is applied with mounting adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than its stone and plaster equivalent, it is easy to install at height. Because it is mould-cast, the volute curves repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces the ionic column capital in sizes suitable for different column diameters.
