Polyurethane Faux Wood Corner Beam and Rafter Model
Details
The P1982 corner beam is an L-shaped decorative profile designed to create a rustic texture at ceiling and wall junctions. It effortlessly brings the warmth of aged timber to both interior and exterior spaces without the heavy weight of traditional wooden logs. This rafter design ensures a seamless faux wood beam look, particularly at ceiling corners or around structural columns.
Featuring a 133x133 mm cross-section and an ideal single-piece length of 3 meters, this profile is manufactured from high-density (150-200 kg/m³) rigid polyurethane. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, water absorption is below 1%, completely preventing structural deformations such as rotting, cracking, insect infestation, or warping commonly seen in natural wood. Contributing to thermal and acoustic insulation, this material maintains its dimensional stability under temperature fluctuations ranging from -20°C to +80°C.
The surface design is meticulously crafted with deep wood grains, natural knots, and a rugged bark texture. Delivered from the factory with a white primer coat, this surface provides an excellent base for distressing and painting techniques without losing the depth of the wood grain. With a proper paint application, it achieves a natural look indistinguishable from real timber.
Highly versatile, this corner beam model is widely preferred in hotel lobbies, chalets, restaurants, rustic living rooms, and covered patio ceilings. Its ergonomic L-shape also allows for the aesthetic concealment of existing structural beams or utility pipes. Once painted, it can be safely used outdoors, under eaves, or in villa facade designs.
Extremely lightweight and shatterproof compared to plaster corner profiles, this product stands out for its ease of installation. It is applied to a clean surface using Polure Polfix adhesive and mechanically secured with screws. Once the joints and screw holes are filled and sanded, it is ready for painting. Although the factory primer prepares the surface, an additional primer coat can be applied based on the paint manufacturer's recommendations. For outdoor applications, the use of UV-resistant paint is mandatory.
