High-Density Polymer Technology & Rustic Aesthetics
Designed to seamlessly conceal ceiling-to-wall joints in traditional architectural designs, our rustic corner elements are reimagined with modern technology. Engineered from high-density rigid polyurethane (PU) with a density of 150-200 kg/m³, these decorative corner profiles deliver a surface hardness comparable to real wood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. By eliminating the structural load and installation challenges associated with heavy solid wood, these lightweight architectural elements offer a highly functional joint solution, particularly in large-scale ceiling beam projects.
Superior Structural Durability & Dimensional Stability
Unlike natural timber, these products are highly resistant to moisture and temperature fluctuations. Exhibiting outstanding dimensional stability, these rigid structural elements experience no warping, shrinkage, or expansion across a wide temperature range from -20°C to +80°C. Thanks to their closed-cell structure, the water absorption rate is below 1%. This negligible rate prevents rotting, molding, or swelling, even in highly humid environments. Furthermore, they feature self-extinguishing properties in compliance with fire safety standards.
Surface Preparation & Priming Guidelines
All our products are shipped pre-primed from the factory. This factory-applied primer coat prepares the surface for final painting and enhances paint adhesion. However, please note that paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee direct paint applications without their own proprietary primers. Consequently, applying an additional primer coat prior to the topcoat is entirely optional and at the customer's discretion. Our brand does not guarantee or accept liability for the quality, performance, or post-application issues of any third-party paints used. The surfaces can be easily finished with water-based or synthetic paints. For exterior applications exposed to direct sunlight, please note that unpainted rigid material may yellow over time, making the use of a UV-resistant topcoat absolutely essential.
Usage Areas
These decorative corner profiles are widely used in both interior design projects and sheltered exterior architecture. Indoors, they are ideal for aesthetically concealing installation gaps at wall-to-beam joints in rustic ceiling systems across living rooms, hotel lobbies, restaurants, and chalets. Externally, they serve as rustic corner elements at soffit joints and the intersections of window trims and mid-floor moldings. With a water absorption rate of under 1%, they can be safely installed in high-humidity areas such as indoor pools, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Installation
For a professional and long-lasting installation, the following steps must be strictly followed:\n1. Ensure the installation surface on the ceiling or wall is dry, clean, and free of dust.\n2. Precisely cut the corner profiles at a 45-degree miter angle according to your layout plan.\n3. Apply polyurethane (PU) construction adhesive to the bonding grooves on the back of the product. Do not use silicone adhesives during installation.\n4. Once the profile is positioned on the surface, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory.\n5. Fill screw heads and joints with a suitable joint filler or compound.\n6. After the filler dries completely, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper.\n7. Optionally apply an extra coat of primer, followed by at least two coats of paint. A UV-resistant paint is mandatory for exterior applications.
Care Information
Maintaining these high-density rustic corner elements is virtually effortless. Thanks to their non-porous, closed-cell structure, a simple wipe-down with a slightly damp, soft cloth is all that is required. Avoid abrasive chemicals and stiff brushes to prevent damage to the paint and surface texture. Minor impact damage can be easily repaired using joint filler, followed by light sanding with 180-220 grit sandpaper and localized touch-up paint.
