Project: Villa Facade in Gebze (2023)

The most repeated element on a villa facade is the window surround, so the profile width was chosen in proportion to the window width. When the inter-floor band and the surround come from the same thickness family, the facade keeps a consistent shadow line. Pilasters provided the vertical accent at the entrance.

The elements were surface-mounted onto existing render: the surface was cleaned of dust, grease and loose paint, a PU-based mounting adhesive was applied in an uninterrupted bead and the parts were cross-screwed at the joints. The structural system was untouched; being light, polyurethane added no static load.
