The kitchen area shown features a characteristic atmosphere where classic architectural details are reinterpreted with a modern and bold color palette. In the kitchen, where natural light filters through large windows, the turquoise-toned kitchen island forms the focal point of the space. The light-colored natural wood texture preferred for the floor covering balances the heavy and massive stance of the island, evoking a sense of spacious depth. Dark distressed techniques used in the design emphasize the details of the carvings on the furniture, adding a nostalgic flair.
At the corners of this special kitchen island, high-density polyurethane corbel (+P9950+) models, one of the distinguished pieces of the Polure collection, were used. These corbels, approximately 15-20 cm wide and perfectly compatible with the height of the island, offer a classic column capital aesthetic with acanthus leaf motifs and volute (curved) head details. The high-density PU structure of the product shows superior resistance to impacts in areas where humidity and movement are intense, such as kitchens, while the detailed carvings practically bring the laborious look of wood craftsmanship to the space.
Thanks to the 'polyurethaneprecast' production technique preferred in the application, these complex patterned corbels were cast with a flawless surface quality in a factory environment. During the assembly phase, the lightness of the polyurethane material allowed for fast and safe fixing without putting additional load on heavy furniture blocks. The CNC-precision details prepared a perfect ground for the distressed paint (patina) application, ensuring that the paint gathered in the recessed areas and maximized the three-dimensional depth.
For similar classic or neoclassical kitchen designs, such large-scale corbels can be preferred not only on island corners but also on hood edges or wide door transitions. In addition to ambitious colors like turquoise, different concepts can be created with white with gold leaf or walnut-colored distressed applications.
