Indirect lighting coves differ in opening size and LED recess depth. Our profile heights range from approximately 80 to 200 mm, with widths from 49 to 200 mm, supplied in standard lengths of 2400-2440 mm. Longer profiles reduce visible joint lines along the continuous light path.
Selecting the right section comes down to three key factors: adequate channel depth to conceal the LED strip, aperture width for the desired light diffusion (narrow openings for defined lines, wider openings for soft ambient glow), and profile height proportional to ceiling height.
For living rooms, coves are typically designed as a continuous perimeter lighting loop. The same approach applies to hallways, bedrooms, and display niches. Mounted at the wall-ceiling junction, these profiles bounce light softly across surfaces for glare-free illumination.
Manufactured at a density of 150-220 kg/m³ (production target ~160 kg/m³), profiles arrive with white 1K acrylic primer and bond directly using PU-based mounting adhesive, requiring no subframe support.

With a water absorption rate under 1%, they perform reliably in humid areas such as bathrooms, spas, and wellness facilities. Large-profile models like P81378 and P81991 are frequently specified for hotel lobbies, restaurants, executive offices, and double-height foyers to emphasize ceiling heights and architectural structure.
Installation
To ensure a continuous light line, surface preparation and accurate fixing are essential. Mounting surfaces must be clean, dry, and dust-free. Mitre cuts at 45-degree angles should be used for corners. Never use silicone adhesive; apply high-strength PU adhesives such as Polure Polfix instead. Mechanical fastening with screws after adhesive bonding is mandatory. Screw heads and joints should be filled with joint filler and sanded smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper once dry. Apply touch-up primer over joints before applying at least two coats of final paint.
Care Information
Maintenance of Polure indirect lighting profiles is straightforward. The closed-cell material prevents dust and moisture absorption. For regular cleaning, wiping with a slightly damp microfiber cloth is sufficient. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvent-based thinners. Cleaning the internal LED channel once a year using a soft brush or compressed air helps maintain full light diffusion efficiency.
