P81373 is a minimalist decorative element designed to bring indirect lighting concepts to life in modern interior projects. By concealing LED strips at the wall-to-ceiling junctions, it provides spaces with a soft, glare-free, and homogeneous light distribution. Compared to plaster alternatives, its non-cracking, shatterproof structure, and superior impact resistance over EPS foam products ensure long-lasting durability.
From a technical standpoint, the product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-200 kg/m³. Although it boasts a surface hardness close to wood, it is remarkably lightweight and adds no structural load to buildings. It features a height of 80 mm, a projection of 50 mm from the wall, and a standard length of 2400 mm. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, preventing swelling, rotting, or dimensional distortion even in high-humidity areas like bathrooms and kitchens.
Featuring a smooth, elegant curve, the profile aesthetically conceals the light source while allowing light to glide softly across the ceiling. The product is shipped factory-primed with a special white coating. While this primer prepares the surface for the topcoat, paint manufacturers often do not guarantee applications done without their own primers; therefore, applying an additional primer coat is entirely optional and left to the user's discretion to enhance the durability of the final coat.
Offering a wide range of applications, P81373 is highly preferred in living rooms, behind bedroom headboards, hotel corridors, office ceilings, and modern restaurant designs. When applied with correct painting and installation techniques, its moisture resistance allows it to be safely used for creating concealed lighting details under exterior eaves as well as indoors.
During installation, after making 45-degree miter cuts on a clean, dry surface, Polure Polfix adhesive is applied to the back surfaces and joints. For a secure installation, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory. Once the screw heads and joints are filled with putty and smoothed with 180-220 grit sandpaper, the process is completed with an optional primer and two coats of water-based or synthetic paint.
- The P81373 indirect lighting profile is ideal for creating a modern light band at wall-to-ceiling intersections
- In residential spaces, it integrates seamlessly with suspended ceiling systems in living rooms, hallways, entryways, and bedrooms to create a cozy, relaxing ambiance
- In commercial areas, it delivers a prestigious look in hotel lobbies, restaurant ceilings, showrooms, and office meeting rooms
- Thanks to its fully waterproof and moisture-resistant structure, it can be safely used in wet areas such as bathrooms and spas
- When used for under-eave lighting in exterior projects, it must be coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint to protect it from sunlight
- The application surface must be completely free of dust, moisture, and dirt
- Cut the profile ends at a 45-degree angle using a miter box
- Apply Polure Polfix adhesive to the joints and the surfaces contacting the wall, then press the profile into place
- While the adhesive cures, mechanical fastening with screws is required to prevent slippage and ensure a perfect fit
- Fill screw holes and joints with acrylic filler
- Once dry, smooth the filled areas with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- To meet topcoat warranty conditions of paint manufacturers, an additional coat of primer can be applied if preferred, followed by at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint to complete the installation
- Thanks to the durability of polyurethane, cleaning is exceptionally easy
- Accumulated dust can be easily wiped away with a soft, slightly damp cloth
- Avoid using abrasive detergents, hydrochloric acid, or thinners during cleaning, as these harsh acidic or alkaline chemicals can damage the surface primer and paint
- If you wish to refresh or change the color years later, you can simply sand the surface lightly and repaint it in any color of your choice
