Fireplace Portal

A fireplace portal is a three-sided polyurethane frame set that surrounds the fireplace opening; it joins two side columns or corbels with the band above. It is used in living and sitting rooms to define the front face of a decorative fireplace as a whole. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or warp and can be painted. Because it is mould-cast, the side and top pieces join cleanly with one another and the profile details repeat identically on every piece.
