Modern Fireplace Decoration

Modern fireplace decoration is a plain surface arrangement made by applying clean-lined polyurethane profiles, surrounds and panels around the fireplace. The fireplace edges are framed, and the mantel shelf or wall section is highlighted with flat profiles. Unlike classic ornamented fireplace decorations, understated and crisp sections are used. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Compared with wood it is unaffected by moisture, unlike plaster it does not break, and it installs faster. Once painted it blends with the wall surface. Note: polyurethane is for decorative purposes and must be kept away from flammable areas. Polure produces flat surround and panel profiles for modern fireplace decoration.
