From a technical standpoint, the product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³). With a depth of 46 mm, it creates a subtle relief effect without protruding excessively from the wall, while its width of 240 mm and height of 1970 mm offer ideal proportions for living rooms, hallways, or building entrances with standard ceiling heights. Unlike traditional wood or plaster alternatives, this durable material does not crack, rot, or attract pests. It is moisture-resistant, with a water absorption rate of less than 1%.
The closed-cell structure of the material ensures outstanding performance in outdoor conditions. It maintains its dimensional stability under temperature fluctuations ranging from -20 °C / +70 °C, preventing shrinkage, expansion, or warping. Include the product weight and fixing loads when assessing the substrate and supporting structure.
Highly versatile, this polyurethane pilaster is widely favored as a framing element on either side of villa entrance doors, around fireplaces, in hotel lobbies, or to create vertical dividing lines on restaurant walls. By establishing a stylish visual connection between the floor and ceiling, it helps spaces appear taller and more spacious.
During installation, it is mounted onto a clean surface using Polure Polfix adhesive and then mechanically secured with screws. Although the factory-applied primer makes the surface ready for painting, applying an additional coat of primer is optional, depending on customer preference and the warranty conditions of the paint brand used. After installation, joints can be filled, sanded, and painted with water-based or synthetic paints.
