Dominated by sophisticated charcoal and gray tones, this living room presents a balanced synthesis of modern architecture and classical decorative arts. The most striking feature of the space is the perception of depth created on the main media wall. A layered polyurethane frame structure, resembling a large window, gives a three-dimensional character to a flat wall surface. Gradual ceiling transitions and symmetrical wall compartments expand the room's volume, while soft light plays emphasize the contours of these architectural details.
In this application, high-density polyurethane panels (P851350BU) were preferred around the focal TV unit to create a magnificent portal. On other parts of the walls, elegant rectangular panels were designed using thinner molding models (P85008 and P85002); the corners of these panels are enriched with special patterned corner elements (P85008S). The patterned cornice (P81143) at the ceiling junction is supported by a modern light trough profile (P81378A) below, ensuring the space is visually elevated on the vertical axis.
The products used in this project are manufactured using precast polyurethane techniques cast under high pressure in the factory. This production method maximizes pattern sharpness and impact resistance while ensuring millimetric fit during installation. Unlike traditional plaster applications, polyurethane profiles do not stretch and prevent cracking at joints over time. Thanks to its water and moisture-resistant structure, cleaning and maintenance processes are quite effortless for the user.
For those wishing to create a similar neoclassical atmosphere, tone-on-tone or contrast transitions between wall color and molding color are recommended. As seen in the visual, using white moldings on a charcoal wall allows architectural details to 'pop.' For a more minimal look, moldings can be painted the same color as the wall to achieve textural depth. Gold leaf lighting used over the dining table creates a material contrast that reinforces the perception of luxury when combined with the whiteness of the Polure polyurethane details.
Design Details
The use of a cold gray background emphasizes the linear lines of the white polyurethane profiles, providing graphical clarity. The nested gradual framing in the TV unit creates a visual hierarchy, making a technological device part of the decor. Hidden ceiling lighting softens the texture of the cornice while optically increasing ceiling height. The use of moldings with corner motifs bridges modern furniture and classical wall art, achieving an eclectic balance.
