Barrel Vault Ceiling
Barrel vault ceiling is a curved decorative polyurethane application that creates an arched roof form with single or multiple directional curves. Used in corridors, entrance halls, restaurants, hotels, theatres and large rooms to define spatial direction and enhance volume perception. Cast polyurethane elements maintain a density of 150-220 kg/m³, enabling installation with significantly less weight than plaster, concrete or solid timber equivalents. Closed-cell material absorbs less than 1% water, offering resistance to moisture and impact damage. Vault ceiling sections are primed at the factory and can be finished with water-based or synthetic paint after installation. Dimensional stability has been tested across the range -20 °C / +70 °C. Installation uses polyurethane-based mounting adhesive; larger sections may require screw or dowel reinforcement. Barrel vault ceiling is decorative and does not function as a structural support system.
