Polyurethane archway entrance door surround

An archway entrance door is defined by a curved transition above the doorway and decorative profiles around its perimeter. Polyurethane surrounds, arch mouldings, keystones, sills and brackets can clarify the doorway's boundaries on the facade. These products are decorative and do not provide a structural function for the doorway or building. Cast polyurethane has a density of 150-220 kg/m³ and is lighter than comparable plaster, stone or solid wood elements, making curved profiles easier to handle and install. Its closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, reducing the risk of moisture-related deterioration, cracking and swelling. Factory-primed components can be painted with water-based or synthetic paint. The dimensional stability test range is -20 °C / +70 °C. Mould production helps repeat the lines around the arch and the keystone detail consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is polyurethane used around an archway entrance door?

An arch surround, keystone, side profiles and, where needed, brackets are used to frame the doorway. These components are decorative cladding rather than structural elements.
