Garage door surround
A garage door surround is a decorative exterior moulding that frames both sides and the top of a vehicle entrance opening. A polyurethane garage door surround separates the door frame from the facade, defines the transition around the opening and can be coordinated with side column cladding where required. It is a decorative element and does not support the garage door, lintel or building structure. Cast polyurethane products have a density of 150-220 kg/m³. Their light weight compared with plaster, concrete, stone and solid timber simplifies handling and installation around wide openings. The closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, reducing the risk of moisture-related deterioration, cracking and swelling. The factory-primed surface can be painted with water-based or synthetic paint. The dimensional stability test range is -20 °C / +70 °C. Mould casting helps maintain a consistent plain or detailed profile section along the length of each piece.
