Premium Solutions in Architectural Aesthetics: Pediment Crowns
For professionals seeking to bring the elegance of classical architecture and palace grandeur into modern spaces, Pediment Crowns are an indispensable finishing element. Offering sharp lines at wall-to-ceiling junctions or transition zones, these exclusive designs are favored by interior architects and construction experts to elevate the prestige of their projects. Unlike traditional building materials, these elements, manufactured with modern casting technologies, add optical richness to the vertical dimension of any space.
The Technological Balance of Physical Durability and Lightweight Design
The rigid polyurethane (PU) raw material used in our Pediment Crowns series features a density of 150-200 kg/m³, offering a hardness comparable to wood. This ideal density ensures high impact resistance while preventing unnecessary load on the building's structural systems. Compared to heavy alternatives like plaster and marble, it provides an innovative engineering solution in terms of ease of installation and building statics. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its water absorption rate is below 1%, completely preventing the material from swelling, molding, or losing its shape over time, even in humid environments.
Dimensional Stability and Diverse Model Options
Optimized cross-section alternatives tailored to project scales allow you to establish the perfect visual balance for any ceiling height:
- P215 Model (54x1280x230 mm): Offers a balanced proportion for residential projects with standard ceiling heights and modern office partitions.
- P215A Model (69x1280x251 mm): Adds depth to spaces, making it ideal for spacious living rooms, boutique hotel suites, and high-ceilinged galleries.
- P215B Model (64x1280x290 mm): The most majestic option, creating a monumental effect for high-ceilinged mansions, ballrooms, and prestigious public buildings.
Highly stable against temperature fluctuations, these designs do not shrink, expand, or crack even under harsh thermal conditions ranging from -20°C to +80°C. Their factory-primed surfaces match perfectly with water-based or synthetic paints, guaranteeing long-lasting aesthetics.
Seamless Details with Precast Mold Technology
The micro-details on the product surfaces are shaped using high-precision 3D casting molds and advanced CNC milling methods. This production standard ensures millimeter-precise pattern alignment during the installation of consecutive pieces, leaving no visual gaps at the joints. Whether in harsh exterior conditions or high-traffic interiors, the material's self-extinguishing property elevates safety standards to the next level.
Usage Areas
Thanks to their versatile design range, Pediment Crowns are suitable for both interior and exterior applications. In interior design, they elegantly crown ceiling transitions as wall border decorations in hotel lobbies, luxury restaurants, spacious residential living rooms, and corridors. They are also preferred as finishing elements on top of door and window frames, fireplace surrounds, or above large decorative wall mirrors. In exterior designs, due to their high dimensional stability and near-zero moisture absorption, they create a monumental architectural impact on entrance portals, window pediments, floor moldings, and corbel transitions.
Installation
The primary rule is that the application surfaces must be completely clean, dry, and dust-free. To ensure millimeter-precise joints, the border crown elements should be cut at 45-degree angles using a fine-toothed saw and a miter box. Adhesive selection is critical during installation; solvent-free, specialized PU adhesives such as Polure Polfix must be used, while silicone-based adhesives should strictly be avoided. For the safety of heavier models, mechanical screw fastening is mandatory. Screw holes and joints should be filled with high-quality acrylic exterior filler and sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper after drying. In the final step, two coats of paint are applied over the primer. For outdoor applications, UV-resistant exterior paint must be used.
Care Information
Maintenance for this premium decorative border crown series is highly practical. Since its closed-pore structure is impervious to moisture and water, there is no risk of swelling or deformation during cleaning. A slightly damp microfiber cloth is sufficient for dusting. For chemical cleaning, pH-neutral soapy water should be preferred instead of acids, thinners, or harsh scrubbing pads. Hairline joint cracks caused by building settling over time can easily be repaired with a light filler and localized touch-up painting. This ensures the products retain their original form and aesthetics for decades.
