Polyurethane Relief Mouldings

A relief moulding is a decorative architectural element made from polyurethane and formed in raised relief on a surface. It is used to highlight selected areas on walls, column surfaces, entrance areas, stage sets, and hotel and retail interiors. Cast from moulds, the high-density polyurethane has a density of 150-220 kg/m³. Its lower weight than plaster, stone, and solid wood alternatives makes handling and installation easier. With a closed-cell structure, it has water absorption below 1% and offers resistance to moisture and impact. The relief surface is factory-primed and can be coloured with water-based or synthetic paint. Dimensional stability has been assessed across a -20 °C / +70 °C test range. Parts are fixed with polyurethane-based adhesive; screws or dowels may be added for larger sections. Relief is a decorative covering and does not serve as a load-bearing element.
